It is with broken hearts that the family of Tyler Joseph Cowman announces his passing from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the age of 29.
Tyler was born June 23, 1991, in Kingston, to Shawn and Diane Cowman. He had brothers, Trevin and Trey Cowman, who were his lifelong best friends. Together, the five formed the Cowman Crew.
Tyler was a 2009 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, where he excelled academically and as a Spartan football player and wrestler, earning a fourth place medal at the 2009 PIAA State Wrestling Championships. This medal capped a stellar wrestling career that began at the age of six, during which he earned many accolades and much respect. Tyler furthered his academics and wrestling careers at Brown University, showing us all, once again, that he could accomplish anything he wanted, never listening to the disbelievers.
