"The market is 31 years old, and we've outgrown our space to the east," said Greeley councilwoman Deb DeBoutez. "We are moving here to a beautiful, iconic, crown jewel of downtown Greeley, the Lincoln Park."
"When I moved over to culture, parks and recreation for the city of Greeley, that's what they were needing. They were needing a leader who could share a vision and help the team understand how to get there," Frick said. "I see that as my greatest strength."
Mayor John Gates at Tuesday night's city council meeting recognized the city's new housing director, Deb Callies, whose first day was Feb. 8, and the city's new budget and policy department director, Caleb Weitz, whose first day was Thursday.
Records obtained by the Greeley Tribune this past week indicate a former department head at the city left his position under a separation agreement that was sweetened with $50,000 from the city as well as $2,359 of accrued paid time off.
