Records obtained by the Greeley Tribune this past week indicate a former department head at the city left his position under a separation agreement that was sweetened with $50,000 from the city as well as $2,359 of accrued paid time off.
Greeley city staff in late August began discussing ousting John Dargle Jr. from his role as director of the city's culture, parks and recreation department. Within about two weeks, Dargle quietly settled with the city, resigning on Sept. 19, after about 13 months at the department's helm.
