The Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, instead of providing opportunities for securing justice to the poor litigants, has acted as an impediment, the Court found.
The High Court said that it is in the interest of the victim that she is not traumatized again and again by re-living the incident by being present in Court proceedings.
'.[U]seful time of the police which could have been utilised for important matters has been misdirected towards this case. Hence, the parties must do some social good,' the court said.
