Police: West Hempstead Stop & Shop Shooting Suspect Was Employee At Store

0:55 Nassau County Police say they have apprehended the suspect in a shooting at a grocery store in Hempstead, Long Island. Police say the shooter is a current or former worker at the store. Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said around midday, 31-year-old Gabriel DeWitt Wilson went upstairs to the manager’s office at the Stop & Shop on Cherry Valley Road and started shooting. The manager of the store died. Two others were taken to the hospital and are helping investigators. “We probably had a couple of 100 shoppers in the store at the time. You saw the line trying to get out. We stopped the question to make sure we have anybody that was a witness.
