Ahead of the 2022 assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, farmers of the sugarcane belt in western Uttar Pradesh are upset with the BJP government over the three controversial farm laws and delayed payments.
India Today’s journalist spotted many farmers outside the government sugar mill in Baghpat area. They were waiting to sell their produce in the scorching heat with no shelter or access to clean water.
