The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has officially appointed Indian-American Shohini Sinha as the special agent in charge of the esteemed Salt Lake City Field Office.
A former United Bank of Michigan senior vice president has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for embezzlement and tax evasion. He is 56-year-old John Figg of Grand Rapids.
Agents have initiated at least 1,000 cyber-related criminal investigations, leading to at least 293 arrests, 199 indictments and 144 convictions across the country in 2023.
John Figg, 56, of Grand Rapids, is ordered to pay $870,000 in restitution to the United Bank of Michigan and $146,300 to the IRS. He is also sentenced to three years of supervised release following his time in prison.
