A former United Bank of Michigan senior vice president has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for embezzlement and tax evasion. He is 56-year-old John Figg of Grand Rapids.
A bank executive who admitted to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from United Bank of Michigan will spend years in jail and will have to pay over a million dollars in fines, according to U.S. attorneys.
John Figg, 56, of Grand Rapids, is ordered to pay $870,000 in restitution to the United Bank of Michigan and $146,300 to the IRS. He is also sentenced to three years of supervised release following his time in prison.
