2022 weather spotter courses to be held

Burlington, IA- After a hiatus due to the pandemic, Des Moines County Emergency Management will be hosting the in-person severe weather spotting training program. The two-and-a-half-hour program will take place on Monday, March 21st, at the Capitol Theatre in Burlington. The class begins at 6 PM and registration is not required. Spotters serve an important function in the community to help warn the public before disaster strikes. Des Moines County Communications (DESCOM) will also present information regarding their role during weather emergencies.
