According to Mr. O’Neal’s parents, their son is a devil-worshiper who had killed two family pets. For four years, Mr. O’Neal sat in prison without going to trial because “a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder” and “a history of mental health issues” required a special criminal court that, apparently, can’t be speedily set up. In June, Mr. O’Neal paid his bond after Judge Mark Kent Ellis halved it from $50,000 to $25,000 and went free.

HOUSTON A man accused of killing a teenage friend five years ago recently bonded out of jail while still awaiting trial. But he’s back behind bars again, and is now accused of killing someone else.
Edward O’Neal, 23, was recently arrested in the death of Derrick Mike, 39, while out on bond in the death of Ryan Roberts, 16, according to KTRK.
“I told the DA he should not get out,” Roberts’s mother Christina said. “He killed my son, he’ll be killing again.”
O’Neal reportedly stabbed Ryan Roberts to death in 2016. The victim’s body was found near an overpass on Jan. 19 of that year. It was claimed that the defendant did it for a satanic ritual. O’Neal admitted worshipping the Devil, but denied murdering Roberts, while placing blame on another friend, according to Click 2 Houston.
Devil Worshiper Kills Anew After Release On Bail

An alleged devil worshipper has been charged with another murder four months after posting bail. Edward O’Neal has been on a temporary release after his bond was reduced over the summer.
On Nov. 28, O’Neal killed Derrick Mike, his cousin’s ex-boyfriend, when the 39-year-old showed up in front of his cousin’s Houston apartment to retrieve his belongings after their split. Texas Police said the victim was still conscious when a police officer arrived and rushed him to a nearby hospital but he died the following day.
