Image via geograph A former Surrey Police officer has been found guilty of rape while he was serving on the county police force. Derek Winston Seekings, 66, was found guilty of two counts of rape between 1994 and 2000 following a four-day trial at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. Seekings, who was still serving as an officer when the rapes occurred before retiring in 2005, will be sentenced on Wednesday (January 13). One of the offences took place during his meal break while he was on duty, with the other taking place off duty.
