Anna Harp, 28, and Abrielle Clausing, 21, received a final note from their father Rudolph Clausing in January that read: It has been such a good life.

Derek Prue Sr. learned that his son Derek Prue Jr. was extremely self-conscious about his birthmark that covered a large part of his upper left torso.
Like any parent, when Derek Sr. learned that his son was hurting, he wanted to find a way to help.
So, he decided that he would get a tattoo that matched his son s birthmark so that his son wouldn t feel so alone.
He kept the tattoo a secret from his son during the 6-week process.
When asked what he thought about the tattoo Derk Jr. said, I was happy.I didn t know that he was going to do it.

Derek Prue Sr. knew his son was self-conscious about his
birthmark on his torso. So he spent 30 hours total to get a tattoo that was a replica of his son s birthmark. It was a long, painful ordeal, but the dad was happy to do it for his son. I knew he was self-conscious about it, I saw how he was reacting, and it made me want to do it so that he wouldn t be the only one.
