SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO.com ) The Sioux Falls Stampede dropped their fourth straight game in a 5-1 loss to the Des Moines Buccaneers at the PREMIER Center Friday night. Cole Sillinger scored the lone goal for the Herd, while Trent Burnham made the start in net and stopped 20 of 25 shots.
Des Moines Buccaneers forward Zach Urdahl collected the opening goal of the homestand at 10:42 in the first period. Alex Laferriere and Zakary Karpa assisted on the power play.
Cole Sillinger tallied his sixteenth goal of the season for his seventh straight game with a point at 9:29 of the second period. Luke Toporowski dropped a pass to Sillinger in stride and beat Derek Mullahy glove side as the power play expired. Paul Davey gave the Buccaneers the 2-1 lead back with a goal at the end of the second period.
