He polled most of the votes that this territorial segment polled – of the 1950 votes, Parra polled  1323 as his nearest rival, Sajad Raina of Bjp polled 321 votes. No rule of law in J&K, says Mehbooba as 2 PDP leaders detained   Mon, Dec 21 2020 04:58:52 PM Srinagar, Dec 21 (IANS): Two senior PDP were detained on Monday by a central agency for questioning in a money laundering case, evoking sharp reaction from party chief Mehbooba Mufti who claimed there was no rule of law in Jammu and Kashmir. Reports here said that officials of the investigating agency detained Sartaj Madni, who is also a maternal uncle of Mehbooba Mufti, and Peerzada Mansoor Hussain in Anantnag district. Reacting sharply, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief tweeted: Total lawlessness as PDP s Sartaj Madni and Mansoor Hussain were arbitrarily detained today on the eve of DDC election results. PDP’s Waheed Parra Sent To 30 Days Judicial Custody SRINAGAR: Special Judge NIA Sunit Gupta on Saturday granted 30 days judicial custody of Peoples Democratic Party leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, who was arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA). Parra was booked in a case related to his alleged “close links” with Irfan Shafi Mir, who was arrested along with Hizbul Mujahideen militant Naveed Babu and suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh earlier this year. After perusal of the application moved by the CIO and the CD files, the court granted 30 days judicial remand of Parra.
