COVID-19 infects over 20 Ombudsman personnel

(JANSEN ROMERO / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) Ombudsman Samuel R. Martires confirmed on Monday, April 12, that seven personnel from his office got infected with COVID-19. It was reported that there were four COVID-19 infections in the office of the Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon, five in the Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices, four in the Filed Investigation Office, and two in the security office.   The virus infections among personnel prompted Martires to order employees to work from home and to sanitize and clean all the offices of the Ombudsman in Quezon City from April 5 to April 8. On Monday, April 12, Martires also announced the extension of the physical closure of all Ombudsman’s offices until April 18.
