Oconee Blotter: Church tithes, shotgun and catalytic converter stolen The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents: MISSING TITHES: On Feb. 3, Deputy Kenji Dorsey met with a 64-year-old Bogart woman who reported she had written three checks to her church only to learn someone other than the church cashed the checks. The woman explained she had been watching church services online due to COVID-19 and that she sent her donations in checks that totaled $300, but the church treasurer reported not receiving the checks. However, someone did cash the checks. SHOTGUN STOLEN: On Feb. 5, a 35-year-old Bogart woman reported someone entered the trunk of her car and stole a Mossberg shotgun with a pistol grip that she valued at $500.
