In yet another unfortunate incident, a young man was killed by a leopard in remote area of Battagram district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
According to the wildlife department, the victim identified as Tale Zar, s/o Mehmood Shah – resident of Donga – along with his friend was searching for natural mushrooms in a nearby forest when they were attacked by the wild animal which left him dead while his friend escaped unhurt.
Battagram Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hameed Khan while talking to The Express Tribune confirmed the incident and said that amid rising cases of human-wildlife conflicts the administration is coordinating with the relevant department and joint strategy is being devised to stop such incidents.

Candidates asked to produce evidence of paper leak

BATTAGRAM: Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hameed Khan on Monday gave 24 hours to the candidates for the National Testing Service exam to provide any proof of the question paper leak ahead of the exam.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the deputy commissioner and president of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Allama Ataa Muhammad Deshani. The students were asked to provide evidence of the paper leak by 12 noon today (Tuesday). Recently, the screenshots of NTS paper leak went viral on social media. The paper allegedly got leaked before the exam time and it was meant for recruitment of teachers.
NTS Candidates Given 24 Hours to Provide Evidence of Paper Leak
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hameed Khan has given the candidates of the National Testing Service examination twenty-four hours to provide evidence of an alleged paper leak prior to the scheduled start of the exam.
The President of the Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Allama Ataa Muhammad Deshani took this decision in a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner.

Cop martyred in Battagram
BATTAGRAM: A cop was martyred in a firing incident in Battagram district, officials said on Saturday.
Muhammad Ibrahim Shah, a spokesman for the Battagram Police, said that the police had received a tip-off about the presence of an alleged terrorist in the bazaar. He said that the cops manning the Thakot checkpost were informed to take the action and arrest the terrorist.
He said that Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar along with Head Constable Noor Ali Shah and other cops reached the Thakot Bazaar. He said that when the policemen reached near Allai Road crossing, the suspect started firing on them.
