The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Virginia man Monday afternoon following a traffic top on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Deputy Clevin Robinson stopped 59-year old Charles Anthony Peterson of Scottsville, Virginia for speeding on I-24 and he smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Further investigation allegedly determined Peterson had a loaded gun, synthetic drugs, marijuana and items used for packaging and sale of drugs.
Peterson was arrested and charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking in marijuana, possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. );
An Evansville man was charged after he fled from deputies on Pennyrile Parkway Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Clevin Robinson says he stopped 48-year-old Monterreal Fields for speeding around the Lovers Lane exit.
During the stop, deputies say they could smell the odor of marijuana and asked Fields to step out of the vehicle, he then put the vehicle in gear and fled at speeds of 100 MPH.
Fields then reportedly slowed down to the speed limit around the Kentucky 1682 exit before coming to a stop and being taken into custody.
Two marijuana cigarettes were reportedly located in his belongings. Fields is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, and possession of marijuana.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hopkinsville man following a high speed pursuit Tuesday afternoon on the Pennyrile Parkway.
According to a news release, Deputy Clevin Robinson attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle for speeding on the Pennyrile Parkway around 2 p.m. near the one-mile marker in the northbound lanes. The motorcyclist reportedly failed to stop and accelerated, starting a pursuit that went into Pembroke before coming to a stop.
Deputies were able to get the motorcycle stopped at the intersection of Pembroke Road and Highway 115 the driver, 22-year old Chace Storie of Hopkinsville was taken into custody without incident or injury.
