The Depot Youth Center and Bankwell are presenting a teen financial literacy webinar to help teens “Know how to take control” of their financial future on April 20, at 7:30 p.m.
The webinar is being presented to help educate teens and their parents on financial literacy.
Burhan Mohammad, assistant vice president and branch manager of Bankwell in Darien, will cover types of accounts, and cards banks offer, and how they fit into peoples’ life, important tips for protecting identity to prevent fraud, budgeting basics, and types of expenses to keep people on track, how to make, and stick to a budget, the importance of using credit wisely and the emotional impact of money management.

DARIEN Michael Cortese doesn’t want to make his efforts to see the rainbow flag around town during Pride month this June political; he wants to start a discussion.
Cortese moved to Darien with his husband Ryan about three years ago when their daughter was born. He said it had so many positive qualities that attracted his family proximity to New York City, walking distance to the train, the parks, and beaches. He describes himself as apoliticial which is why he was drawn to serve on the Representative Town Meeting.

The community is invited to take a dip to support the Depot Youth Center.Contributed
DARIEN The community is invited to “take a dip” to support The Depot Youth Center on March 21, at noon.
The event will be at Wee Burn Beach Club and the forecast is calling for milder temperatures.
The cost is $25 to plunge, and $5 to cheer those taking a dip on.
