The community is invited to take a dip to support the Depot Youth Center.Contributed
DARIEN The community is invited to “take a dip” to support The Depot Youth Center on March 21, at noon.
The event will be at Wee Burn Beach Club and the forecast is calling for milder temperatures.
The cost is $25 to plunge, and $5 to cheer those taking a dip on.

The Darien Library is offering a presentation on mental health for teens and parents with mental health TEDx speaker Emily Torchiana on Wednesday, March 10, from 7 to 8 p.m. The event will be held via Zoom.
This event is cosponsored by Geri and Rocky Genovese, Julie and David Genovese, and The Depot Youth Center.
Torchiana, a suicide attempt survivor, speaks at high schools, colleges, and conferences across the country about her mental illness journey.
Rather than suffer silently as many do, Torchiana seeks to help others who also struggle with mental illnesses, by sharing her personal experience of suffering with post traumatic stress disorder, depression, and social anxiety, as well as overcoming a suicide attempt. She encourages others to open up. She began speaking locally, while she was attending college in Charleston, South Carolina. From th
