Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary of Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, will now be secretary, Ministry of Textiles, according to a Personnel Ministry order.

As part of a major top-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected on Wednesday, Urban Development Secretary Rajiv Gauba was named as the next Home Secretary.
He will succeed Rajiv Mehrishi, who completes his term on August 30. A total of 16 secretaries have been appointed to various central government departments. The government has changed portfolios of a few secretaries in this rejig.

MANGALURU: The department of chemicals and petrochemicals has given in-principle approval for the setting up of a Plastic Park in Mangaluru under the Plastic Parks Scheme, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers D V Sadananda Gowda tweeted on Friday.
In a letter that Gowda uploaded on twitter, the union ministry of chemicals and fertilizers and department of chemicals and petrochemicals has directed the Karnataka government to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposal.

All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA), with more than 20,000 industry members from 175 cities from India, is organising Plastiworld, a virtual trade show for finished plastic product manufacturers and buyers, starting Tuesday with an aim to generate business worth ₹1,000 crore.
The main objective is to increase exports of plastic products from India and also to ensure reduction of imports of such products, the organisers said.
