Figuring out a strain s genetics based on its name is usually easy if you grew up playing that Pokémon Gameboy game, because Pokémon always kept a name similar in sound or meaning after evolving. Pichu evolves into Pikachu, which becomes Raichu (but let s face it: No one wanted a Raichu), and so on. Cannabis is sort of same-same, but different. Generally, New York City Diesel and Strawberry Cough will spawn (gasp) Strawberry Diesel, but every once in a while, I ll come across a Golden Glue.
Golden Glue sounded like it had to be a cross of Golden Goat and Gorilla Glue, two of the pot community s more popular strains, but one sniff of my purchase quickly showed I was wrong. A sly reference to Kosher Kush s younger days of going under the older, more offensive name Jew Gold, Golden Glue is actually a hybrid of Kosher Kush and Locktite, which carries Gorilla Glue #1 genetics. There s a less popular mix of Gorilla Glue #1 and Golden Ticket that also claims the name, but if 14er s vers

Note: Before you get too far into branding your company, products or services, it’s a good idea to reach out to a trademark attorney. You don’t want to spend too much time or money on ideas or designs you can’t mark.
What makes a unique trademark, and which types are strongest?
Simply put the more generic your trademark, the easier it is for others to challenge. In the cannabis industry, you should avoid using terms such as “green,” “kush,” “canna,” “420,” “THC,” “Mary Jane,” and “weed” because they are extremely common. Don’t believe us? Just do a web search!

As Colorado’s street-art scene continues to grow, more and more cannabis companies are splashing murals across dispensary buildings. Diego Pellicer, Silver Stem Fine Cannabis, Canna City, Berkeley Dispensary, Higher Grade and the Green Solution are just a few of the enterprises that have commissioned artists to paint unique and attention-grabbing murals on their dispensary locations.

My cannabis use is mostly recreational outside of relieving an occasional hangover or stiff neck, but recently my sleeping schedule one of the few areas of life that s improved during the pandemic was getting bumpy. Maybe it was allergies, maybe it was astrological shit that I don t believe in, or maybe it was sucking down the final days of an HBO Max free trial. Exercise wasn t relaxing my brain, and CBD oil couldn t get the job done, either. I was ready for a skunky solution, and what better remedy than some greasy, hulking purple buds?
I know, colors don t mean much in terms of effect, but anything labeled Purple Sunset is sure to put the lights out early, and it s not like 2021 brought my first romp with the strain. The mix of Mandarin Cookies, Mandarin Sunset and Purple Punch (this may differ at the store, but all virtual versions have Purple Punch and Sherbet genetics) is a trio of power punchers that drop me on their own. Combining them all sounded like a guaranteed nap
