This morning, we have new aerial video to show you of this firefight. This is burning in a remote part of the merit island preserve on the southwestern tip of the preserve. It is not threatening any buildings or homes on merit island. It is an air are i cant that is step with heavy brush and veg taig, its been difficult to access some of the fire. It has burned 7 acres since 3 00 this morning. The fire is a percent contained according to firefighters so its not spreading out of control, just accessing it has been difficult.
