They do have hydrant service on merit island, the challenge for firefighters have running fire hoses to get access to the flames, firefighters tell us this fire was started by someone who intentionally cut power poles causing lines to come down and spark the fire. Can you clearly see someone tried to saw into the sides of the power pole there and caused the line to droop, the fire investigator believes someone who did this may have been trying to steal copper wiring inside this pole in order to recycle it. They found saw blades along with the drooping power lines.
