Garden club meets
The Deming Garden Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds at 4300 Raymond Reed Blvd. in Building No. 2.
Luna County Extension Agent, Jack Blandford will give a presentation on drought and the effects it has on trees.

Florida Mountain Plant Shop in downtown Deming is the target of a Deming MainStreet Cash Mob Live Sale event on Facebook. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, on the Deming-Luna County MainStreet Program Facebook Page.

Yard and bake sale
Spring is here and the First Christian Church Ladies’ Council has lots of special items for your home or garden. Please mark your calendars because you are invited to the council’s yard and bake sale at 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, at the Fellowship Hall located at the corner of Maple and Copper streets.
There will be items galore including clothes, housewares, books, tools, electronics and maybe even furniture.
