This follows recent flooding in several areas of the city, with some having light rainfall on Friday. The Met office uses four colour codes, with yellow indicating severely bad weather that may disrupt daily activities.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that there is no flood threat in Delhi due to the rise in the water level of Yamuna, following two days of heavy rain in the national capital and adjoining areas. IMD has issued a Yellow alert in the Delhi NCR region including Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad in the midst of the heavy rains and thunderstorms in the capital.
