Tuesday’s AQI was recorded as 357 (very poor); not much improvement is expected on Wednesday either. Although, light rain on Wednesday night and Thursday is likely to bring an improvement in air quality.

The cold wave has intensified in Delhi-NCR and other parts of north India, with temperatures falling below the minimum and a thick layer of fog shrouding the region.
Delhi saw five ‘cold days’ this January when the maximum temperature was 4.5 degrees or more below the normal. Except for two days this month, January 15 and 16, when the maximum temperature was a little above normal, it has remained below normal on all other days.
