Rain and cool winds on Sunday brought the mercury down by five notches in Delhi with the maximum temperature settling at 28.3 degrees Celsius and ensured that the national capital registered its best air quality of this year.
Delhi Weather update: The rainfall so far this month is around four times the normal rainfall of 28 mm and three times the precipitation recorded (41.6 mm) in August, which is the wettest month of the monsoon season.
Delhi rains: Rainfall below 15 mm is considered light , between 15 mm and 64.5 mm moderate , between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm heavy , and between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm very heavy . Above 204.4 mm is considered extremely heavy rainfall.
