There is no noticeable change in the scenario despite a 15-point winter action plan and initiatives such as Red Light on, Gaadi off being put in action.
On Tuesday, the AQI was above 300 in at least 13 pollution hotspots in Delhi. Noida and Gurugram recorded poor and moderate AQI levels at 219 and 169 respectively.
Overall air quality in the national capital also fell into the 'Very Poor' category, with an AQI of 306, slightly worse than the 302 recorded on Sunday afternoon.
The action comes as part of 'Stage II' of the central government's pollution control plan known as the 'Graded Response Action Plan' (GRAP), which is implemented in the Delhi-NCR to combat air pollution during the winter season.
