Delhi has added 400 new electric buses, bringing the total number of electric buses in the city to 800, making it the city with the highest number of electric buses in India. The Delhi government plans to have a fleet of 1,900 electric buses by the end of 2023 and aims for 80% of its total fleet, or 8,280 buses, to be electric by 2025. The addition of these electric buses is expected to save approximately 45,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually and contribute to a greener and cleaner Delhi.
