The domestic traders body of Delhi, Confederation Of All India Traders (CAIT) has asked the Delhi government to impose a complete lockdown for at least 10 days to bring the COVID-19 situation under control. The time has come to take a strong step in order to curb the rapid outbreak and a complete lockdown for at least 10 days in order to break the chain seems the right thing to do, CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said.

Amid the rising cases of coronavirus in the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has assured that there is no shortage of beds in hospitals across Delhi. According to the latest data, more than 5000 beds are available, said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Earlier, the Delhi government on Monday converted 14 major private hospitals and six government hospitals into dedicated COVID-19 treatment facilities. The action came hours after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal directed the state health department to increase the number of beds earmarked for patients with the viral infection.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced a weekend curfew in the national capital amid a massive surge in COVID-19 cases. The curfew will be imposed from 10 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday morning, to break the chain of transmission .
Meanwhile, CM Kejriwal has announced what will remain open in Delhi and what will not. Essential activities like weddings planned ahead will be allowed with curfew passes. Kejriwal said, Essential services will be allowed. We will give passes even to people who are scheduled to get married. There will be special markets with special arrangements. No dine-in at restaurants.

As the number of cases have increased rapidly in the last 10 to 15 days, the Delhi government on Saturday imposed fresh restrictions in the city.

The fourth wave of COVD-19 is extremely dangerous, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday (April 11) as the national capital reported 10,732 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
As the number of cases have increased rapidly in the last 10 to 15 days, the Delhi government on Saturday (April 10) imposed fresh restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19. Earlier this week, the government had also imposed a night curfew in Delhi from 10 pm to 5 am till April 30.
