Strong winds led to a significant improvement in Delhi's air quality on Thursday, even as the city recorded a maximum temperature of 22.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
Delhiites experienced a pleasant Wednesday with the maximum temperature in the national capital settling at 21.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the NGO Centre for Holistic Development (CHD), 106 people died in Delhi as a result of the cold in January. Officials, however, denied any deaths were caused by the cold.
