Delhi IGI airport on alert: A call about a bomb in the flight coming from Moscow to Delhi was received last night. The flight landed in Delhi at around 3.20 am. All passengers and crew members were deboarded. Flight is being checked and investigation is underway, said Delhi Police.
IGI airport bomb threat: Total 386 passengers and 16 crew members were deboarded from the flight. The matter is being investigated. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred.
The forensic team has got evidence of the usage of ammonium nitrate for the blast which caused a small trench at the site. Sources have said that if RDX was used then the impact would have been higher. Police have also recovered CCTV footage, a half-burnt pink scarf and an envelope addressed to Israel Ambassador from the blast site.
Earlier, police had recovered an envelope, containing a note, and addressed to the Israeli Embassy, and a half-burnt pink scarf from the site. The envelope that was found at the spot was found around 12 yards away from the blast site and police sources have said the letter was addressed to the Israeli Ambassador. Police is tracing its fingerprints and examining its contents.
