You can see the skies brightening up. The temperatures warming up, upper 70s by 11 00 this morning. Some scattered clouds in new jersey and a few in the Lehigh Valley. This is where theres fog first thing this morning. The fog showing seens of thinning out. Near 80 degrees at lunch time, into the lower 80s this afternoon. The humidity will be lower later today as we see the temperatures climb into the 80s for the suburbs. Plenty of sunshine, after morning clouds in new jersey, 82 degrees this afternoon and at the shore, in for mostly sunny skies and 79 degrees. Majors when im back in ten. New from overnight in philadelphia, police and fire crews were forced to shut down a part of broad street after a car burst into flames following an accident. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live on the scene in the citys nicetown section. Tell us what happened. This stretch of broad street is pretty quiet in the middle of the night. Ill tell you what happened here. Philadelphia police tell us a car was going south at wyoming, hits the median, goes out of control and hits two cars on the other side of the road from where we are. The car ends up in the middle of broad street and bursts into flames. Take a look at this video that was obtained by nbc 10 here. This is what it looked like moments after crash. One officer described this as a fireball. It happened just after midnight. One of the officers from the 39th district happened to be driving down broad at the same time that this happened.
