Good morning. I call this hearing to order. Before i address the topic of todays hearing i want to say a few words about whats happening in communities across our country today. This is a time of great pain and unrestfor our nation. Americans are truly outraged by recent killings. Anyone who watched the video of the murder of george floyd has to be horrified and heartbroken. The resulting peaceful protests about police abuse against any american citizen are important and necessary our nation needs to listen to the voices of africanamericans about police brutality. Every american citizen deserves justice under the law. Some of the peacefulprotests have been hijacked by violent criminals. The destructing and looting and arson must stop. Those who commit these crimes dishonor the memory of george floyd and dishonor the cause for which the Peaceful Protesters first took to the streets. I am thrilled that our friends at the White House Historical association asked us to provide space for tonights conversation. Stewart asked if i would share a little bit about the history of this very historic room that you are sitting in tonight and so i will share with you that this church was completed in 1816. The architect was Benjamin Henri literal. Not only did he design this church but he was working on rebuilding the white house after it was destroyed in the war of 1812. In 1818 in 1818, he built what is now the home of the historical association. You see a similar entrance. It was built as a green cross and was an even four sides. In 1822, they expanded the Church Building to make room for more seating. We do not know who the architect was who did that expansion and built the bell power belltower. We begin with that deadly shooting rampage at a Food Festival in northern california. At least three victims have now died including a 6yearold boy whose mother was also reportedly shot. I just heard somebody passed away so they were practicing hovering, which was unique to helicopters. And something happened. The helicopter crashed. Reporter this is a picture of the helicopter we found on the companys Facebook Page. The tail number on this picture matches the helicopter, the tail number on the wreckage behind me. The Facebook Page has since been taken down it appears by the company. At this point again, investigators, the ntsb expected here tomorrow. According to the airport manager, there was no disstress call from the helicopter in the seconds and moments before the crash and there was no black box inside the helicopter.
