NBI files complaints vs 11 individuals on Christine Dacera s death

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 12) The National Bureau of Investigation on Friday recommended the filing of criminal charges against people tagged in the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera.
Some of Dacera s friends, including their legal counsel Neptali Maroto, are among those who may have to deal with criminal charges.
The NBI-Death and Investigation Division recommended filing an obstruction of justice charge against Mark Rosales, Rommel Galido, John Dela Serna, Gregorio De Guzman, Jezreel Rapinan, Alain Chen, Reymay Englis, who partied with Dacera at the City Garden Hotel in Poblacion, Makati City to welcome the New Year.
Charged with falsification of official document was Maj. Michael Nick W. Sarmiento who conducted the initial autopsy.
Also charged were Mark Anthony Rosales, Darwin Joseph Macalla, Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman, Alain Chen and lawyer Neptali Maroto, and five of Dacera’s friends Romel Galido, Reymar Englis, Louie Delima, John Pascual dela Serna III, and Jezreel Rapinan,
The complaints against them were filed by the National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) Death Investigation Division (DID) on Friday, March 12.
“Results of the NBI investigation revealed the glaring inconsistencies in the PNP autopsy report,” the complaint said.
It said that the “results of the autopsy report conducted by the NBI Medico Legal Division chief revealed that in contrast to the autopsy report of P/Maj. Sarmiento, M.D., victim’s urinary bladder was full of urine and in fact was able to extract 130 ml (milligrams) of urine and no abrasion was found in her labia.”

“We are happy with the results, we were vindicated. It proves that Galido and Dela Serna who recanted their earlier statement that there were illegal drugs in their room were lying,” lawyer Roger “Brick” Reyes, spokesperson of the Dacera camp, told the Manila Bulletin.
On January 13, John Pascual “JP” de la Serna III and Rommel Galido recanted their statements that illegal drugs were used during their party at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City. Their lawyer, Abigail Portugal, said Galido and Dela Serna were pressured by policemen to state in their affidavits that there were drugs in the party.

Authorities arrested a couple who were both 18 years old for selling P850,000 worth of ecstasy party pills.
Jonathan Andal reported in “Unang Balita” on Wednesday that customers of live-in partners are still young party-goers secretly partying in hotels.
The two were caught in Manila and seized from them were up to 500 ecstasy tablets estimated to cost P850,000.
The suspects allegedly sell drugs to those who are attending in-house parties in Quezon City, Caloocan, and Manila.
According to the police, some hotel managers have secretly agreed to the secret setup of the parties while the bars in Manila are still not allowed to open due to health protocols against COVID-19.
