David Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon Label Inks First-Look Production Deal With Walt Disney Pictures Deadline 5/4/2021
EXCLUSIVE: Multiple Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Emmy-nominated actor, producer and director David Oyelowo and his wife, actress, writer and producer Jessica Oyelowo, have signed a two-year first-look deal with Walt Disney Pictures for feature length films across all platforms at the studio.
The Oyelowos will produce through their Yoruba Saxon banner, which is focused on creating values-based content for all quadrants, with an aim to shift the culture and color outside the lines.

“The Young and the Restless” star Sasha Calle will play Supergirl in the upcoming “The Flash” movie from DC and Warner Bros. Calle has the distinction of being the first Latina Supergirl for DC.
Director Andy Muschetti announced the news with a video on Instagram in which he tells a shocked Calle, “You’re Supergirl.” He captioned the post, “Been doing a lot of flashbacks lately but today is about a Flash forward.”

Moesha, are expanding their relationship with the Walt Disney Company. The pair have signed a “wide-ranging, multi-year overall deal” with Disney Branded Television.
Here are the details:
Under the pact, Smith and Farquhar will produce animated and live-action series and films for Disney Branded Television. They will have a separate budget “to find and develop emerging talent as well as leverage their combined experience to bring unique projects and voices to Disney.”

Bruce W.
