The forest minister has appointed Madhu Chauhan to the post of secretary.
DEHRADUN: By averting a series of decisions made by the Trivendra Rawat government, the present forest minister Harak Singh Rawat has showcased his place in the BJP. Among those averted are some of the national-level controversial issues such as Laldhang-Chillarkhal and removal of an official, Dipti Singh, from the post of secretary of the labour board who was deployed by former CM. The forest minister has appointed Madhu Chauhan to the post of secretary.
He also revoked the suspension order of 38 contractual workers of the labour board. In addition, the forest minister has brazenly gone ahead with the construction of Laldhang-Chillarkhal road for which clearances were still awaited and got funds to the tune of Rs 1 crore released for its construction. He also got Rs 20 crore funds for a super speciality hospital in his constituency, Kotdwar, which had been turned down by Trivendra Rawat a few months ago.
