The Department of Defense s new electronic health record system, MHS Genesis, has been successfully delivered to 10,000 more clinicians and providers.
MHS Genesis was developed by the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health, comprising Cerner Corporation, Accenture, Leidos and Henry Schein One, along with about 30 supporting businesses.
According to a Leidos press statement, the most recent deployment has locations in 12 more states: Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Our team continues to be impressed by the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the staff at each of these locations. They are the driving force behind our success to date, said Liz Porter, Leidos Health Group president, in a statement.
DHA unveils final solicitation for $1.4B workforce contract
The final solicitation was released Thursday for the Defense Health Agency’s $1.4 billion Workforce 3.0 contract.
DHA’s Program Executive Office – Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS) has created the contract to turn the agency into what it calls a “world-class technology organization.” To do that, it needs a workforce that can bring innovation to how it develops and procures health care products and solutions.
Workforce 3.0’s role in that mission is to provide a vehicle for training and maintaining the workforce so it has cutting-edge skills around engineering, design and data science capabilities and access to companies that supplement those capabilities.
Last draft out for $1.4B DHA workforce contract
On the cusp of officially starting bids for its $1.4 billion Workforce 3.0 contract, the Defense Health Agency has issued a final draft solicitation and is looking for a quick turnaround on getting last-minute feedback from industry.
Step one is training and maintaining a workforce that has the talent and skills around engineering, design and data science to drive innovative procurement methods and attract new technology into the government market.
Workforce 3.0 will have one multiple-award segment for a broad range of services. A second, single-award segment will be for overall program management functions.
To drive this procurement, DHA worked with Dcode to look for ways to pull in more commercial technology firms and developed the Hive.gov to foster collaboration with industry.
