The Wadena-Deer Creek School Board met with the public on Monday, Oct. 2, at the middle/high school to drum up support for an operating levy increase. Voters will decide on it in the Nov. 7 election.
Parents voiced their opinions about transgender issues such as school bathrooms at the Sept. 18 board meeting and threatened to withhold support for an operating levy increase requested by the board.
The WDC School Board approved a resolution at its Monday, Aug. 21, meeting to seek voter consideration for an operating levy increase to invest in student learning.
