After 2 months, regular OPDs will open today | Noida News

Ghaziabad/Noida: After two months, outpatient departments (OPDs) will reopen at all government hospitals and health centres across Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar from Friday. On Wednesday, the state government issued a set of guidelines on this, mentioning that non-Covid patients are finding it difficult to access healthcare facilities and they need to be attended to. With an surge in the number of Covid cases and after a government order, most healthcare workers were assigned Covid duties. As a result of that, OPDs have hardly been operational since April 1. “In Ghaziabad, OPDs at MMG District Hospital and District Women’s Hospital, along with OPDs at four community health centres (CHCs) and primary health centres, (PHCs) were not functioning. They will start operating as usual from Friday,” an official said. The District Combined hospital, however, will continue to function as an L2 Covid facility and it will not have OPD facilities.
