Queenstowner Deborah Coburn, who’s run more than 20 local fashion shows and charity events, got motivated to organise another one when an annual charity fundraiser was canned last year.
The local Supper Club raises big bucks for Ronald McDonald House South Island, which
provides free digs in Christchurch and Invercargill for families travelling there for a child’s medical treatment.
With that cancelled due to Covid, Coburn’s pulled together a ‘Preview Winter Fashion Show’ for Queenstown’s Prime Restaurant on May 21.
She’s hoping to raise about $40,000 from live and silent charity auctions.
The live auction, which absent bidders can join on Zoom or by phone, will by conducted by Bayleys’ national auction manager Conor Patton.
