Police were shot at by suspects in two separate incidents. First an Early Morning shootout in southeast. Police say a gunman with hostages in this suv exchanged gunfire with officers. Later that day, congress was put on lockdown while in session as police were chasing two gunman in this car from southwest d. C. Into northwest near capitol hill. During the chase one of the suspects leaned out over the window of the car and shot at officers with a machine gun. Criminals can get guns. We know it.
