Farmers have been told to check electricity systems following a 2017 tragedy
A warning has been issued to farmers against the dangers of inadequate electrical safety systems after a woman was killed cooking food in a farm caravan.
The warning by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) follows a recently concluded prosecution at Warwick Crown Court.
Deana Simpson was electrocuted in 2017 while using a cooker which was poorly insulated and connected at a caravan in Willoughbv Farm, near Rugby in Warwickshire.
The workplace regulator has now highlighted the risks arising from using poorly maintained equipment on farms.
