development, because they think it showed that the president was tough on immigration. that obviously plays well for his base in 2020. on the other hand, they think that they were able to overt, you know, a catastrophe involving tariffs, and averting a trade war with mexico. of course, against the backdrop is the us mca, over arching wit canada, now that the two sides are talking and have come to this smaller agreement, i think there is also bit of hope that they can work through some of their issues on usmca, but, again, nancy pelosi and the democrats control the house of representatives. they are showing no signs of pushing that legislation and trade deal through the house, and so right now i think there s, you know, there s not much hope for a bigger, broader deal on trade.
