Reporter in a scathing report of the Alameda County grand jury accuses the Oakland Unified School district of having a broken culture. Concluding the district is not doing justice or a 36,000 students and 87 public schools. Ray souza is on the grand jury. It is not you can point to one thing and say they did this wrong. It is pervasive. The board, the leadership, the management, the people that work there. Reporter the report cites a range of problems including mismanagement, favoritism, disregard for authority among midlevel management and a lack of accountability. Financial instability was also highlighted. The grand jury finding oakland unified wasted millions of dollars, pointing to lack competitive Business Practices and poor contract management. One example, nine building projects halted because of overspending including the most egregious of construction project at Fremont High School that was 51 million over budget. Matter of successes. Officers at a ford dealership following reports of an active shooter just after 6 00 today evening. Have been everyone in the shop was running the department, caught on very quickly, and started running. A lot of people ran to the hotel. Reporter an employee describes the chaos as gunfire erupted near the service and parts department. A worker fired earlier today returned to the dealership and shot two managers. Officers later found two more victims inside the dealership. One man was seen lying unresponsive in the parking lot. As they approached, they located a m who was down on the ground. He apparently had a gunshot wound. And was deceased. In his hands was a firearm, a handgun. They secured the scene. Reporter the dealership was open at the time, many peopled in sought refuge by hiding under desks and running for cover. A320. It was able to land safely just before 430 and then was towed from the runway. No one was hurt. Passengers will travel to mexico city tonight on another plane, and its the Second United Airlines incident today. This morning, a plane from memphis to houston landed, turned on to a taxiway and then veered off and rolled onto the grass at bush inter continental airport. This boeing 737 ended up leaning toward its left side, the wing touching the ground. All passengers got safely off the plane and the ntsb is now investigating. In all, there have been four incidents involving united this week. Three of them have involved boeing planes. On monday, march 4th, flames shot out of an engine on a flight from texas to florida because some rub bubble wrap got sucked into the engine yesterday. That was march 7th.
