In training when they responded to a Domestic Violence incident around noon yesterday. About three hours later, she went back to help get belongings from the home when the suspected gunman opened fire. It took 45 minutes to rescue the wounded officer because of the suspected gunman, he continued firing. She later died at uc davis medical center. The suspected gunman surrendered and was taken into custody 2 am this morning. Me and my friend were ducking behind the trees. They said you know you need to move. Bullets dont have a name on them. You know . As we are sitting there, all of a sudden, i see the guns going. Today the suspect was identified as the 45yearold Adel Sambrano ramos. He does have prior convictions, including dui.
