Tribal Australia, part of DDB Group, has hired Colin Jowell as its first-ever chief strategy officer, further bolstering its strategic capabilities and credentials.
Jowell (right) was most recently at KPMG as part of the consultancy firm’s Customer, Brand and Marketing advisory. Jowell first joined KPMG in 2018 following its acquisition of UDKU, an innovation agency he co-founded alongside Mark Timmins and Kon Marinis in 2013. UDKU was one of the early pioneers of brand-led customer experience design, notably launching Airtasker in its first major campaign, and working with blue chip clients such as Medibank, AMP, Commonwealth Bank, The Star and David Jones on CX innovation projects.

Tribal has continued to grow its offering with a number of senior hires across production and design.
Following stellar organic and new business growth in 2020, Tribal, part of DDB Group, has seen its full-time employees rise to more than 45 staff nationally.
Tribal now works with a number of blue-chip brands including Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Coles, Kmart, Dulux, FortyWinks and more.
Among the new hires is Jye Calder who joins as senior digital producer with extensive experience in project management and process development previously working at Innocean and Leo Burnett.
Sebastian Bennett-Leat has been appointed as project manager from CHE Proximity where he worked across clients including Danone, ING, NRMA and Velocity.
