DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - In Daviess County, Masonville residents voted on whether alcohol can be sold in their area.
The petitioner for this Election is Pinakin Patel, owner of Masonville Food Center.
Election officials say Patel circulated the petition and posted a $4,200 bond to hold the Election because Kentucky Law requires that if a Wet/Dry Election takes place outside of normally scheduled primary or general, the petition must pay for the entire process.
PACE Community Action Agency will be closed Friday.
City of Washington offices will be closed Friday.
Daviess County Family YMCA will be closed Friday.
The Daviess County Courthouse and Highway Department will be closed Friday.
Senior and Family Services will be closed Friday.
Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Office and Visitorâs Bureau will be closed Friday.
Economic Development Corp. will be closed Friday.
Washington Carnegie Public Library will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
U.S. Postal Service will be closed Friday.
The license branch will be closed Friday.
Retired Senior Volunteer Program offices will be closed Friday.
Daviess County WorkOne office will be closed Friday.
At its 5 p.m. meeting Thursday on the second floor at the Daviess County Courthouse, Daviess Fiscal Court took up the following agenda items:
⢠Approved an MOA between the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Office of the Governor, Department for Local Government, Office of Federal Grants and Daviess County for the Daviess County CRF Reimbursement Project
