Daviess County leaders will dedicate the new inclusive playground at Horse Fork Creek Park on Fairview Drive on Thursday, June 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
Officials in attendance include: Al Mattingly, Judge-Executive, Daviess County Fiscal Court, George Wathen, Commissioner, Daviess County Fiscal Court, Charlie Castlen, Commissioner, Daviess County Fiscal Court,
Mike Koger, Commissioner, Daviess County Fiscal Court, Ross Leigh, Director, Daviess County Parks & Recreation and Mark Brasher, Engineer, Daviess County Public Works.
The playground features a poured-in-place rubber surface, accessible ramps, a glider swing, and musical instruments among other features.
Daviess County received a $75,000 matching grant for the project through the Kentucky Department for Local Government (DLG). The playground is located adjacent to the spray park, which is also fully accessible.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - A memorial ceremony was held in dedication to the area workers who lost their lives on the job in Daviess County, as well as those still battling through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Steps away from the Workers Memorial Monument sitting outside the Daviess County Courthouse, state and local leaders touched on how difficult the past year has been for workers, regardless of industry.

In Owensboro, all you have to do is schedule an appointment at the new Owensboro Regional Driver License office off Highway 81.
Be sure to bring a proof of identity, social security, and address. Youâll fill out paperwork, get your picture taken, pay, and youâll be all set.
âTypically in takes a couple weeks, maybe three weeks to get real ID back mailed to you,â said Al Mattingly, the Daviess County Judge Executive.
